Little River Memorial Hospital is honored to accept grant funding from the Texarkana Affiliate of Susan G. Komen for the Cure®.  The funding received from the Komen will be used specifically for a program at Little River Memorial Hospital called “Hope for Tomorrow with Mammography Today.”  This program is designed to financially assist the women in our area with their breast health needs.  The staff at Little River Memorial Hospital is eager to help a person become qualified for our program and then schedule their appointments.  The grant funds allow the patient to have a FREE breast exam, mammogram and professional reading.  We are happy to provide educational materials and an educational speaker, through Susan G. Komen for the Cure®, for any interested individuals or groups within our community.
We, at Little River Memorial Hospital, are dedicated to helping the women in our service area.  Our goal is for no woman to deny herself a mammogram because of other financial obligations.  We want all women, over the age of 40, to have their yearly mammogram.  We also want women of all ages to be educated and, if they feel a lump, to know they have “Hope for Tomorrow with Mammography Today.”
